Daddy came home last night. Phew, we were all so happy to see him! AJ, Zoe, and I were all overjoyed to see him walk through the garage door.
I'm proud to say that we survived the week, thanks to our friends Kathy and Eric for staying over and helping out. We also learned a lot about AJ and got him on a pretty good routine this week, so a lot has been achieved this week!
In developmental news, the little guy is starting to sleep longer at night - after we first put him down, he can go somewhere between 4-5.5 hours at a time now! SO PROUD! I'm getting more sleep, but my body's somehow more tired now. We also got him on a more predictable pooping schedule (two huge blow-out sized poops back to back after his 7 AM and 10 AM feedings). We also learned that the little guy can stay awake for much longer now - he can play on his play mat (kicking, waving around) for an hour at a time. Baby has also learned to soothe himself to sleep when he wakes up also! Finally, it looks like his smiling isn't a fluke - it's here to stay! :)
Good week overall. good week.
Next up tonight: we're transitioning him out to his nursery and crib. Wish us luck!
